In the spirit of the Eastern Orthodox Easter season, we are proud to offer a collection of Lenten specials and a Chef’s Experience, for $49, inspired by the traditional diet of this time of cleansing. Join us in Washington, DC or Frisco, TX for Zaytinya’s interpretation of a Lenten menu, featuring no meat, fish with backbones, dairy, eggs, or wine. Please note we have chosen to include olive oil, as we simply cannot imagine cooking without it.
Our special Lenten menu:
spread of roasted piquillo peppers, walnuts, pomegranate molasses and olive oil
HOMMUS BIL ZHOUG
puree of chickpeas with tahini and lemon, spicy jalapeno zhoug, crispy chickpeas and micro cilantro
tahini sauce, sundried tomatoes, smoked olives, parsley, capers and sesame seeds
grape leaves stuffed with rice, tomatoes and pine nuts, garlic toum and sumac
heirloom lettuces, mint, parsley, dill, pea shoots, red wine vinegar dressing and flower petals
GREEK MOUNTAIN TEA GRANITA
grapefruit, orange, Attiki honey, candied Meyer lemon zest and mint
traditional toasted semolina porridge, golden raisin sorbet, candied black walnut and roasted pistachio
